Helldivers 2 has officially revealed its next Premium Warbond, titled Entrenched Division, and it brings a unique theme inspired by the trench warfare of World War I. Over the past two years, Warbonds have introduced a wide range of styles, offering players new armor sets, weapons, stratagems, and cosmetic customization options to personalize their Helldivers.
After facing a challenging period in 2025 due to various technical issues, developer Arrowhead Game Studios worked to stabilize the game through a series of updates focused on fixing core problems. Since then, the studio has regained momentum, consistently releasing new Warbonds almost every month. At the same time, in-game events—such as the ongoing effort to retake Cyberstan—have kept the community engaged with fresh enemies and gameplay mechanics like the global reinforcement limit, encouraging players to stay in the fight longer or risk losing critical battles. As fans look forward to the next major update, Arrowhead has now unveiled the upcoming Warbond.

Helldivers 2 Entrenched Division Release Date
The Entrenched Division Premium Warbond is scheduled to launch on March 17, 2026.
The Warbond leans heavily into a World War I trench warfare aesthetic, though it still retains the sci-fi tone of Helldivers 2. Its reveal trailer even mimics an old wartime documentary, beginning with crackling audio and film grain effects before transitioning into the game’s modern high-definition visuals. The theme marks a noticeable shift from recent Warbonds, which featured explosive-focused equipment or stealth-oriented gear.
New Armor Sets
Entrenched Division introduces two new armor sets:
- CPG-48 Sapper (Medium Armor): This set features a metallic helmet with goggles and a face mask, along with equipment that includes what appears to be a large trench-digging spade.
- Commandant (Light Armor): A more officer-inspired outfit that combines armor pieces with a commander-style coat and hat.
New Weapons
The Warbond also adds several new weapons:
- SMG/FLAM-34 Stoker (Primary Weapon): A rapid-fire submachine gun that includes a unique secondary feature—a built-in portable flamethrower, allowing players to burn enemies without needing the Freedom’s Flame Warbond or the FLAM-40 Stratagem.
- P-69 Veto (Secondary Pistol): A sidearm designed to resemble the classic Mauser C96.
- CQC-73 Entrenchment Tool: A melee weapon designed for close combat, letting players smack enemies at close range.
Additional Gear and Customization
Beyond weapons and armor, Entrenched Division introduces several new customization options and gameplay tools:
- Diplomatic Handshake Emote: A cooperative emote designed for two players.
- Vehicle and Equipment Patterns: New skins for the Pelican, drop pod, recon vehicle, and Exosuit.
- Giga Grenade: A comically oversized grenade with a massive explosion radius capable of destroying vehicles.
New Stratagems
Players can also unlock two new stratagems:
- A/GM-17 Gas Mortar Sentry: An automated turret that fires gas canisters across a wide area.
- B/FLAM-80 Cremator: A heavy flamethrower weapon equipped with a large fuel tank for sustained firepower.

Major PC Client Update
Alongside the new Warbond, Helldivers 2 will also receive a major PC update on March 17. Throughout 2025, the game’s file size continued to grow significantly, eventually reaching around 154 GB. Arrowhead began testing a new beta client designed to drastically reduce the installation size.
With testing now complete, the new client will officially replace the legacy version, reducing the total download size to approximately 23 GB, a major improvement for PC players.
