These changes arrive just in time for the launch of the Redacted Regiment Warbond, which releases later today on January 22 following a brief delay for additional testing. The warbond introduces new stealth-focused equipment, including the R-72 Censor precision rifle and the AR-59 Suppressor assault rifle. Both weapons feature suppressors that now benefit directly from the update’s buffs, making them more appealing choices for covert operations. Players who prefer a louder approach can instead equip the B/MD C4 Pack stratagem, which provides six C4 charges and a wireless detonator for large-scale destruction.
Helldivers 2 Introduces Commando Missions
Alongside the Redacted Regiment Warbond, Arrowhead Game Studios is also adding special Commando Missions to Helldivers 2. These missions place players deep behind enemy lines with no access to air support, forcing them to rely entirely on careful planning and execution. Reinforcements must be called in ahead of time, adding an extra layer of difficulty and tension. Inspired by stealth-heavy experiences reminiscent of the Metal Gear series, these missions serve as an ideal testing ground for the game’s newly enhanced stealth mechanics.
