Monopoly Go: Greek Treasures Rewards Guide (January 16-20)
While Mr. Monopoly is taking most of the crew to the art museum to kick off the new Artful Tales sticker season in Monopoly Go, our favorite archaeologist, Sofia, is heading off to uncover more ancient treasures during the Greek Treasures event this weekend.
From 12 PM EST on January 16 to 3 PM EST on January 20, you’ll be digging through 20 levels of Greek Treasures. Make sure you've been gathering extra Greek Treasures picks! There’s a new board token, shield skin, and lots of new stickers to collect this weekend.
How To Play Greek Treasures
Collect Pickaxes From Other Events
Before you can join Sofia in her dig, you’ll need to earn pickax tokens elsewhere in Monopoly Go. Here’s how you can get them:
- Competing in Center Banner Events: These are the events displayed just below your current cash total. The first event, Rich Exhibit, has 62 milestones (up from the usual 50), and many offer free Greek Treasures picks as rewards.
- Participating in Daily Leaderboard Tournaments: Found to the right along with the Greek Treasures icon and any active flash events. These often offer pickax tokens as milestone rewards for the dig event.
- Completing Daily Quick Win Goals: These refresh at 8 AM EST and consist of three simple tasks that reward you with cash, free dice rolls, stickers, and extra Greek Treasures picks.
- Grabbing Your In-Game Store Reward: The shop in the top left corner refreshes every eight hours, offering rewards similar to the ones listed above.
- Finishing Event Levels: As you progress through the event, Sofia will sometimes give you a handful of pickax tokens in addition to cash, dice, and stickers.
- Digging in Greek Treasures: Some tiles may hide a pickax token, essentially giving you a refund for the one you spent.
Use Pickaxes To Dig For Treasure
Once you've got some pickaxes in hand, head over to the Greek Treasures event screen to start using them! Each pickax clears a single tile of dirt, helping Sofia uncover all kinds of ancient Greek artifacts. There are 20 levels in this event, but don’t worry—construction moles will sometimes pop up to help clear rows or columns for you.
To complete a level, you need to find every piece of treasure on the board. Once you do, you’ll receive the rewards displayed on the meter at the top for that level’s Greek Treasures prize. Among the rewards, there’s a new shield skin fit for a Greek guard, plus a new board token called Exalted Scottie. This token features everyone's favorite dog, Scottie, dressed in a golden toga and headpiece.
Keep in mind, these levels tend to have some of the largest treasures to dig up, so you’ll need as many Greek Treasures picks as you can gather!
As you progress, you’ll also start earning some of the first sticker packs to kick off the new Artful Tales sticker season with a bang! There are five sticker packs up for grabs, ranging from pink to purple in rarity, which you can earn during the Greek Treasures event this weekend in Monopoly Go.
